Following the opportunity for the community to provide feedback and submissions on the proposed plans released by the RMS in December 2015, the RMS has now released the following documents:

The environmental assessment for the bypass was finalised at the end of April 2016. This means the proposed bypass has been approved and will proceed into detailed design. Construction of the bypass is expected to start by 2018, weather permitting.
RMS will continue development of options for the rail bridge and expect to seek further community feedback on rail bridge options later in 2016.
Roads and Maritime will continue to keep the community informed as the project progresses.
