What is Scone Chamber’s Purpose?

We exist to drive the agenda for business and economic development in Scone and the Upper Hunter region.

As an independent not-for-profit organisation supported by Hunter Chamber and NSW Business Chamber, we are passionate about creating opportunities for businesses and our local communities to thrive.

At an operational level this ranges from providing networking opportunities, to (often subsidised) training, to expert advice on issues that are important to your success.

At a macro level, we are the voice of the local business community and work with bodies such as the UHSC, NSW Regional Development Groups and Statewide Chambers of Commerce to ensure our members have a seat at the table when important economic decisions are being made.

Award Winning

In 2016 Scone Chamber of Commerce was the winner of the Best Local Chamber in Hunter District  award at the Hunter Business Awards.

The Chamber’s nomination highlighted the volunteer organisation’s role in shaping the Scone Bypass project. In partnership with the Upper Hunter Shire Council, the Chamber ran a strong campaign within the local business community against the RMS bypass designs. The campaign focused on informing the Business community of the RMS designs and highlighting better options that would be less damaging to economy of the town’s main street.

In 2017 Scone Chamber was named finalist for the third consecutive year at the Hunter Business Awards.
