Upper Hunter Shire Council is urging residents to study carefully Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) latest plans for the $90 million Scone Bypass.
RMS community drop-in information sessions on the proposal will be held at Scone Motor Inn on:
- Thursday 21 January 2016, 3.00pm to 7.00pm,
- Thursday 4 February 2016, 3.00pm to 7.00pm, and
- Friday 5 February 2016, 10.00am to 2.00pm.
Mayor Wayne Bedggood said Council is disappointed the recently released plans for the Scone Bypass on the New England Highway and options for the in-town overpass, do not address long standing concerns with the design.
The RMS Scone Bypass proposal is available on the RMS website www.rms.nsw.gov.au.
