Scone’s CBD Revitalisation Plans are now available from Upper Hunter Shire Council. They illustrate the potential beauty of a Bypassed Scone, without heavy truck movements through the heart of the town.

What could more greenery, seating, shade and public art do for the street appeal of Upper
Hunter towns? Upper Hunter Shire Council is seeking residents’ feedback on draft Town Centre
Revitalisation Masterplans for Aberdeen, Merriwa, Murrurundi and Scone.

The draft Plans have been created by the design team at Studio GL following community consultation
over the last six months, and can now be viewed at Council offices, libraries or on Council’s website.

Council is encouraging residents to view the plans and provide feedback by 3 May 2016. Residents
can give feedback by writing to Council, attending a community consultation or completing a short

Town Meeting on Town Revitalisation

Scone Council Chambers – 6.00pm, Wednesday, 27 April

Presentations on the draft Masterplans will be given at the meetings by Council’s Manager Business
and Enterprise Tourism, Sean Constable.
