Event Wrap-Up: Small Business Expo & Think Tank

Chamber News
November 6, 2020

The information presented to our Think Tank as part of the inaugural Small Business Expo was exceptional! The overall message delivered by our distinguished panel was to build on your strengths and don’t reinvent the wheel.

Our panellists were asked to think about some “out of the box” ideas to contribute to the discussion. Ideas for building on our mainly agriculture-based industries took centre stage, along with the growing focus on fitness throughout a person’s life.

The many ideas presented covered industries such as Tourism & Leisure, Aged Care, Health & Education, Manufacturing & Mining, The Arts, Service Industries and of course Agriculture.

Scone has a wonderful mix of business types across a range of industries. Chamber Treasurer Scott Shann will head up the Chamber’s response to this initiative and we hope to keep our members informed on progress made in this space.

With a revamped White Park becoming increasingly online, a multi-million dollar investment in the airport due for completion in twelve months, significant investment in the racing precinct taking place and a revitalised town centre about to begin, this town, this region will continue to grow and take its place rightly as a major player in the NSW economy for many years to come.
